- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 最外面特徴部を有し、物質を前記最外面特徴部の内部に、前記物質が誤 って外部表面と接触することがないように保護されるように収容するための空間 を有する立体構造の製造方法において、成形面上に物質をコーティングする工程 と、前記物質を前記成形面から材料部片に転移する工程と、前記立体構造を前記 物質と正確に位置合わせするため、前記物質が前記成形面と接触した状態で、前 記材料部片を前記成形面上で立体構造に成形する工程とを有することを特徴とす る、方法。 2. 材料が変形するまで、外部表面と誤って接触することがないように保護 された物質が設けられた材料の製造方法において、 a)成形面を第1物質でコーティングする工程と、 b)第1側部及び第2側部を持つ材料部片を、前記第1側部が前記成形面上の前 記第1物質と接触するように前記成形面上に導入し、前記第1物質を前記材料部 片の前記第1側部に選択的に付着させる工程と、 c)前記材料部片を成形し、谷部によって離間された複数の中空突出部を持つ立 体構造を形成する工程であって、前記第1物質は前記成形面から前記立体構造に 転移され、前記立体構造との正確な整合は、共通の転移−成形面を使用して行わ れ、前記材料部片は、前記複数の中空突出部と対応する複数の窪みを前記第2側 部に有する、工程とを有することを特徴とする、方法。 3. 前記成形面は、上面及び複数の凹所を持つフォーミングスクリーンによ って形成され、前記複数の中空突出部は前記凹所内に形成される、請求項2に記 載の方法。 4. 前記成形面は、成形プレートによって形成され、この成形プレートから はピンが延びており、これらのピンは、頂面を有し、それらの間に間隔を有し、 前記複数の中空突出部は、前記ピン上で成形される、請求項2に記載の方法。 5. 前記成形面の臨界表面張力を低くする工程を有する、請求項1乃至4の うちのいずれか一項に記載の方法。 6. 前記材料部片の前記第2側部に設けられた複数の窪みに第2物質を注入 する工程を有する、請求項2乃至5のうちのいずれか一項に記載の方法。 7. 誤って付着することがないように保護された感圧接着剤が設けられてお り、押し付けた場合にだけターゲット表面に粘着できる可撓性フィルムの製造方 法において、 a)複数の凹所が設けられた上面を有するフォーミングスクリーンの上面の前記 凹所以外に感圧接着剤をコーティングする工程と、 b)可撓性フィルム片を前記フォーミングスクリーンの前記上面上の前記感圧接 着剤と接触させ、前記感圧接着剤を前記可撓性フィルム片に選択的に付着する工 程と、 c)前記可撓性フィルム片を成形し、前記フォーミングスクリーンの前記凹所内 に延びる複数の突出部を形成し、これらの複数の突出部は、前記感圧接着剤と位 置が合っている、工程と、 d)前記可撓性フィルム片を前記感圧接着剤とともに前記フォーミングスクリー ンから取り外す工程とを有することを特徴とする、方法。 8. 最外面特徴部、及びこれらの最外面特徴部間に物質を収容するための空 間を持つ立体構造を有し、前記物質は、ターゲット表面へ送出される前に流れる ことに対する抵抗が大きく、前記立体構造の前記空間を占有し、前記物質の表面 高さは、前記最外面特徴部よりも内側にあり、そのため前記物質は外部表面と誤 って接触しないように保護されている、物質送出システムにおいて、前記物質は 、前記立体構造が実質的に平面構造になるのに十分に変形し、これによって前記 物質が露呈されて外部表面と接触するまで保護された状態のままであり、前記外 部 表面のコンプライアンスが必要とされない、ことを特徴とする、物質送出システ ム。 9. 前記立体構造は、前記立体構造の平面に対して実質的に垂直方向に加え られた圧縮力によって変形させることができ、前記立体構造の前記最外面特徴部 は、前記圧縮力の方向に変形する、ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の物質送出 システム。 10. 前記立体構造は、前記立体構造の平面と実質的に平行に加えられた引 張力によって変形させることができ、前記立体構造の前記最外面特徴部は、前記 平面に対して実質的に垂直な方向に変形する、ことを特徴とする請求項8又は9 に記載の物質送出システム。 11. 前記空間は、前記物質が前記外部表面と接触することによって前記外 部表面上に前記物質からなる連続したパターンを形成するように、相互連結され た前記物質の層を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項8、9、又は10に記載の物 質送出システム。 12. 前記立体構造の前記最外面特徴部の数密度は、1cm2当り31個(1 平方インチ当り200個)である、ことを特徴とする請求項8乃至11のうちの いずれか一項に記載の物質送出システム。 13. 前記最外面特徴部の各々は、所定の高さ寸法及び所定のベース直径を 持つ所定の形状を有し、この形状は、前記ベース直径の前記高さ寸法に対する比 が少なくとも2:1であるように定められている、ことを特徴とする請求項8乃 至12のうちのいずれか一項に記載の物質送出システム。 14. 材料部片であって、この材料が変形するまで、外部表面と誤って接触 しないように保護された物質が設けられており、谷部によって離間された複数の 中空突出部を持つように成形された第1側部を有し、前記複数の中空突出部は最 外端を有し、更に、前記第1側部に設けられた前記複数の中空突出部と対応する 複数の窪みを有する第2側部を有し、 前記複数の中空突出部間の谷部に付着しており且つこれらの谷部を部分的に充 填し、表面が前記複数の中空突出部の前記最外端の内部にある第1物質を有する 、材料部片において、 前記材料部片の前記第1側部の一部分をターゲット表面に対して配置したとき 、前記部分が前記ターゲット表面に押し付けられて前記部分の前記複数の突出部 を変形させるまで、前記複数の中空突出部により、前記第1物質が前記ターゲッ ト表面と接触しないようにする、ことを特徴とする材料部片。 15. 第2物質が、前記材料部片の前記第2側部に設けられた前記複数の窪 み内に置かれる、ことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の材料部片。
