Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 式 X1−(CF2)p−(CH2)n−X−Ar−NH2 (式中、Arは からなる群から選ばれ、Xは−O−、−S−、−NR−、および共有結合からな る群から選ばれ、このときRはC1〜C4炭化水素であり、X1はHとFから選ば れ、nは0〜4であり、pは6〜20であり、Xが−S−または共有結合であると きは、nが1〜4であり、モノアミンがアミン成分の約0.1〜15モル%を構成す る)で示されるモノアミンと少なくとも1種のジアミンと少なくとも1種のテト ラカルボン酸二無水物との反応生成物であるポリアミド酸。 2. 前記テトラカルボン酸二無水物が、一般式 〔式中、X2は、H、Cl、F、Br、R1、及びR1O基からなる群から独立的 に選ばれ、このときR1は、C1〜C3ペルフッ化アルキル鎖、C1〜C3部分フッ 化アルキル鎖、およびC1〜C8炭化水素鎖から独立的に選ばれ;mは1または0 であり;そしてZは、−S−、−O−、−SO2−、−CH2−、−C(CF3)2− 、−C(O)−、−CH2CH2−、−NR−(式中、RはC1〜C4炭化水素鎖であ る)、および共有結合からなる群から選ばれる〕で示されるジアリールケトンテ トラカルボン酸二無水物である、請求項1記載のポリアミド酸。 3. 前記テトラカルボン酸二無水物が、3,3',4,4'−ベンゾフェノンテ トラカルボン酸二無水物および2,2'−ジクロロ−4,4',5,5'−ベンゾフェ ノンテトラカルボン酸二無水物から選ばれる、請求項2記載のポリアミド酸。 4. 前記テトラカルボン酸二無水物が本質的に3,3',4,4'−ベンゾフェ ノンテトラカルボン酸二無水物からなる、請求項3記載のポリアミド酸。 5. 請求項1記載のポリアミド酸から誘導されるポリイミド。 6. (a) 異方吸収性分子と疎水性部分とを含む少なくとも1つの光学整 列層を偏光に暴露する工程、このとき前記偏光が前記異方吸収性分子の吸収バ ンド内の波長を有しており、暴露された異方吸収性分子が、入射光ビームの偏 光方向に対して、および光学整列層の表面に沿って+θおよび−θの角度にて 液晶媒質の整列を引き起こし、そして光学整列層の表面に対して角度Φの予備 傾斜を引き起こす;および (b) 液晶媒質を光学整列層に施す工程、このとき異方吸収性分子と疎水 性部分が請求項5記載のポリイミドに共有結合している; を含む、光学整列層の表面に隣接した液晶媒質の整列において予備傾斜を誘起さ せるための方法。 7. 請求項5記載のポリイミドを含む液晶表示素子。
