Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.水性液体試料を別個の微容量に分割するための方法であって、 a)微生物を培養するための装置を提供するステップであって、前記装置 が親水性液体保持ゾーンと、前記ゾーンの間の疎水性ランド領域とを具備するア ッセイ面を有し、各前記ゾーンが微容量収容能力の液体保持性を有するステップ と、 b)前記液体試料が前記親水性液体保持ゾーンに分割されるように、前記 液体試料を前記アッセイ面に接触させるステップと を含む方法。 2.前記ゾーンがアッセイ試薬の被覆または付着を含む、請求項1に記載の方 法。 3.前記栄養培地が少なくとも1種の指示薬物質を含む、請求項2に記載の方 法。 4.前記指示薬物質が発色指示薬、蛍光指示薬、発光指示薬および電気化学的 指示薬からなる群から選択される請求項3に記載の方法。 5.前記培養装置が、約400〜約600個の親水性液体保持ゾーンを具備す る、請求項1に記載の方法。 6.請求項1に記載の方法を実施する際に使用するための培養装置であって、 親水性液体保持ゾーンと、前記ゾーンの間の疎水性ランド領域とを具備するアッ セイ面を有し、各前記ゾーンが微容量収容能力の液体保持性を有し、前記ゾーン の少なくともいくつかがアッセイ試薬を含む装置。 7.前記装置が約10〜約10,000個のゾーンを具備する、請求項6に記 載の培養装置。 8.各前記ゾーンが約0.01〜約25マイクロリッターの液体保持能力を有 する、請求項6に記載の培養装置。 9.前記アッセイ試薬が栄養培地を含む、請求項6に記載の培養装置。 10.前記アッセイ試薬が指示薬物質を含む、請求項6に記載の培養装置。
