【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、ポリオレフィンの
反りのない着色のための顔料の使用に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】ポリオレフィン、特に高密度ポリエチレ
ンを着色するために有機顔料を使用するとき、予期しな
い収縮および反りの問題が生じる可能性がある。これ
は、顔料の存在により結晶化の挙動が変化するためであ
る可能性がある。いくつかの研究によれば、顔料が核剤
として働くことによって、微結晶のサイズおよび結晶化
速度の両方に影響を及ぼし、予想よりも高い温度で結晶
化が引き起こされることが示された。
【０００３】これらの点は全て重要な商業上の問題を有
する。例えば、ボトル用枠箱の着色は、顔料メーカーに
とって非常に重要な市場である。顔料は、高密度ポリエ
チレンの適用分野で使用するときに重要な条件を満たさ
なければならず、それはポリマーの結晶化プロセスに影
響を及ぼしてはならないことである。そのような影響に
より収縮および反りが生じ、射出された物品が変形し機
械的性質が低下する可能性がある。

に、顔料表面の改質を目的として表面処理が開発されて
きた。すなわち有機粒子表面上に金属酸化物（例えばジ
ルコニウム、ケイ素、アルミニウム）の薄層を沈澱させ
ること、あるいは顔料表面上にいくつかの極性ポリマー
（ポリアクリレートまたはセルロース誘導体）を吸着さ
せまたは沈澱させることである。しかしこれらの処理
は、常に有効とは限らない。

【課題を解決するための手段】そこで、式（Ｉ）の光に
安定なアゾ顔料であって、

【化４】 上式でＸはＣｌまたはＣＯＯＣＨ３である顔料は、高密
度ポリエチレンに使用するときに反りを引き起こさない
ことを見出した。
【０００７】したがって、本発明は、反らないポリオレ
フィンの着色に式（Ｉ）の顔料を使用することに存し、
式（Ｉ）の顔料で着色された反りのないポリオレフィ
ン、より好ましくは高密度ポリエチレン（ＨＤＰＥ）を
提供する。
【０００８】式（Ｉ）の顔料でポリオレフィンを着色す
るとき、通常の量、すなわち着色される材料に対して
０．０１重量％から３０重量％、好ましくは０．１重量
％から１０重量％という量を使用することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】試験方法を以下に述べる。
【００１０】顔料０．１％を含むＨＤＰＥおよび顔料
０．１％を含まないＨＤＰＥで射出成形した、６０×６
０ｍｍの１０枚の試験プレート。
【００１１】加工温度は２２０℃および２８０℃。
【００１２】結果：無着色のＨＤＰＥでの試験プレート
と、顔料０．１％で着色したＨＤＰＥでの試験プレート
の間の、長さおよび幅の測定値の差。
【００１３】％ＦＶ＝（垂直収縮％−水平収縮％）／
（水平収縮）×１００％ ％ＦＶ＝０〜１０％：良好 ％ＦＶ＝１０〜２０％：適当 ％ＦＶ＞２０％：不適当

  2. 【請求項２】 式（Ｉ）の顔料であって、 【化２】 上式でＲがＣｌまたはＣＯＯＣＨ３である顔料で着色さ
    れた、反りのないポリオレフィン。
  3. 【請求項３】 式（Ｉ）の顔料であって、 【化３】 上式でＲがＣｌまたはＣＯＯＣＨ３である顔料で着色さ
    れた、反らない高密度ポリエチレン（ＨＤＰＥ）。
