Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.選択された波長、周波数及び振幅でエネルギを与える回転アコースティッ クホーン(10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)であって、 軸方向入力端(11)と軸方向出力端(13)とを有する円筒形シャフト(1 2)と、 該シャフト(12)に装着され、該シャフト(12)の直径よりも大きい直径 を有する溶接部分(14)と、 を具備し、 該溶接部分は、該シャフトの該入力端にアコースティックエネルギが加えられ ると膨張したり収縮したりする直径を有する溶接面(16)と、第1及び第2の 対向する端部分(18、20)と、を有し、少なくとも一方の端部分に第1のア ンダーカット(22)が形成され、該第1のアンダーカットは、該溶接面の振動 の振幅を制御するように選択される幅及び深さを有し、該溶接面の軸方向長さに 沿って所望の振幅プロファイルを提供する回転アコースティックホーン。 2.前記第1のアンダーカット(22)の前記幅及び深さは、前記溶接面(1 6)の前記振動の振幅に影響を与えるように選択され、 いずれも達成することができる 該溶接面の軸方向の全長に沿って実質的に均一である振幅プロファイル; 該溶接面の軸方向端の方が軸方向中心よりも大きい振幅プロファイル; 該溶接面の該軸方向中心の方が該軸方向端よりも大きい振幅プロファイル; 及び該溶接面の該軸方向の一端から該軸方向の他端へ増加する振幅プロファイ ル;の1つを提供する請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10' 、10"、30、30'、50)。 3.前記第1のアンダーカット(22)の内半径は、前記シャフト(12)の 外半径と同一の広がりを有するかまたは有さない請求項1記載の回転アコーステ ィックホーン(10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)。 4.前記溶接部分の他方の端部分に形成される第1のアンダーカット(24) を更に具備する請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10'、10 "、30、30'、50)。 5.前記第1のアンダーカットと同一の端部分に第2のアンダーカット(32 、34)を更に具備する請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン(30、3 0'、50)。 6.前記第2のアンダーカット(32、34)は前記第1のアンダーカット( 22、24)よりも前記溶接面(16)に近接し、該第2のアンダーカット(3 2、34)の幅及び深さの少なくとも一方は、該第1のアンダーカットのそれぞ れの幅及び深さよりも小さいか大きいかまたは等しいか請求項5記載の回転アコ ースティックホーン(30、30'、50)。 7.前記溶接部分(14)の軸方向長さは、前記ホーン材料の波長の1/2ま でとされ、該ホーンの軸方向長さは、(a)該ホーン材料の1波長に実質的に等 しいか、または(b)該ホーン材料のわずか1/2波長であるかのいずれかであ る請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10'、10"、30、3 0'、50)。 8.前記シャフト(12)は前記ホーン材料の1波長よりも短く、前記溶接部 分(14)は該シャフトの端を越えて延在してホーン全体を所望の長さにするよ うに位置する請求項7記載の回転アコース ティックホーン(30、30')。 9.前記ホーンの前記出力端でシャフト延伸部(37)を更に具備し、該シャ フト延伸部は、前記ホーン材料の1/2波長の1以上の倍数の距離だけ前記溶接 部分を越えて延伸する請求項7記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10' 、10"、30、30'、50)。 10.前記シャフト(12)は円筒形であり、前記溶接部分(14)は円筒形 であり、該溶接部分は該シャフトと共軸である請求項1記載の回転アコースティ ックホーン(10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)。 11.前記第1のアンダーカット(22、24)は前記シャフトの周りに連続 であるか不連続であるかであり、該第1のアンダーカットの前記幅及び深さは、 各々一定であるか変動するかである請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン (10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)。 12.前記溶接面(16)の膨張及び収縮は、前記ホーンの前記軸方向入力端 (11)の動きと実質的に同じ位相で動き、該ホーンは軸方向動きに2つのノー ド点を呈する請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10'、10" 、30、30'、50)。 13.前記溶接面(16)の膨張及び収縮は、前記ホーンの前記軸方向入力端 (11)の動きとは実質的に異なる位相で動き、該ホーンは軸方向動きに1つの ノード点を呈する請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10'、1 0"、30、30'、50)。 14.前記ホーンの前記軸方向入力端(11)で質量を変えることによって、 半径方向の溶接面のゲインを変える手段(36)を更に具備する請求項1記栽の 回転アコースティックホーン(10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)。 15.前記シャフト(12)に装着される複数の共軸溶接部分(14)を具備 し、該溶接部分は互いに間隔をおいて置かれ、該溶接部分は連続して装着される か互いに平行に装着されるかである請求項1記載の回転アコースティックホーン (10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)。 16.隣接する溶接部分(14)の中間点の間の距離は、前記ホーン材料の1 /2波長の少なくとも1倍である請求項15記載の回転アコースティックホーン (10、10'、10"、30、30'、50)。 17.各溶接部分(14)の振動の振幅は、隣接する溶接部分の振動の振幅と は異なる請求項15記載の回転アコースティックホーン(10、10'、10"、 30、30'、50)。
