Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.加熱した基板をポリマー粒子の流動床に浸し、該ポリマーで該基板を被覆し 、流動床から被覆された基板を取り去る工程を備えるポリマーで基板を被覆する 改良された方法であって;前記改良された方法が以下の工程: i)接触において前記ポリマー粒子を粘着しやすくするのに十分な温度まで前 記基板を加熱する工程; ii)前記流動床における粒子の温度を前記粒子が粘着しやすくなる温度より低 く維持する工程; iii)前記基板のすべての面を実質的に一様に被覆する工程; iv)随意に、前記被覆された基板を加熱して塗膜を平らにし、ポリマーが熱硬 化性であるならばそれを硬化させる工程; v)約150マイクロメーターまでの相対的に薄い塗膜を得るために、塗料温 度が粘着温度勾配内であるがTmより低くなるように基板を加熱し、および少な くとも80重量パーセントが10から80マイクロメーターの間であるように粒 径を維持することにより、単位時間当たりの塗膜の厚さを制御する工程 を備えることを特徴とする方法。 2.加熱した基板をポリマー粒子の流動床に浸し、該ポリマーで該基板を被覆し 、流動床から被覆された基板を取り去る工程を備えるポリマーで基板を被覆する 改良された方法であって;前記改良された方法が以下の工程: i)接触において前記ポリマー粒子を粘着しやすくするのに十分な温度まで前 記基板を加熱する工程; ii)前記流動床における粒子の温度を前記粒子が粘着しやすくなる温度より低 く維持する工程; iii)前記基板のすべての面を実質的に一様に被覆する工程; iv)随意に、前記被覆された基板を加熱して塗膜を平らにし、ポリマーが熱硬 化性であるならばそれを硬化させる工程; v)単位時間当たり、塗膜の厚さを制御する工程; a)約150マイクロメーターまでの相対的に薄い塗膜を得るために、塗料 温度が粘着温度勾配内であるがTmより低くなるように基板を加熱し、 および少なくとも80重量パーセントが10から80マイクロメーター の間であるように粒径を維持すること b)より薄い塗膜を得るために、粘着温度勾配より高く基板を加熱し、すぐ 上に記載された粒径より大きいか、または両方を使用すること を備えることを特徴とする方法。 3.前記ポリマーが、ポリオレフィンポリマーおよびコポリマー、ポリメチルメ タクリレート、ポリメタクリレート、ポリエステル、並びにポリビニルクロライ ドから成る群から選択された少なくとも1種の熱可塑性ポリマーであることを特 徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 4.前記ポリマーが、酸含有ポリエステル/エポキシ、ヒドロキシアクリレート /ブロックイソシアネートまたはメラミンホルムアルデヒドおよびエポキシ含有 アクリレート/酸から成る群から選択された少なくとも1種の熱硬化性ポリマー であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 5.前記ポリマーが結晶性であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 6.前記ポリマーが非晶性であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 7.任意に湾曲した形状や陥凹を有する乗り物の車体またはその部品を被覆する 方法であって、以下の工程: i)加熱した基板を粒子の流動床に浸し、そして基板の全表面に実質的に均一 に粒子を接着することにより基板に塗膜を付与し、約150マイクロメーターを 超えない平均厚を有する塗膜を製造する工程; ii)随意に、工程i)で被覆された基板に着色したベースコートまたはモノコ ートを付与する工程;および iii)随意に、工程i)およびii)で被覆された基板に着色されていないトッ プコートを付与する工程 を備えることを特徴とする方法。 8.少なくとも以下の1つの工程: i)プライマーコートで既に被覆された基板に塗膜を付与する工程、 ii)2度被覆された基板にトップコートを付与する工程、および iii)半結晶性熱可塑性、半結晶性熱硬化性、非晶性熱可塑性、および非晶性 熱硬化性ポリマーから選択されたポリマー粒子を使用する工程 を備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。 9.1または2以上の塗料ポリマーの球状粒子を使用し、工程(iii)の間に前 記基板を揺動させ、および流動床の成分として燻蒸シリカを使用することを特徴 とする請求項1に記載の方法。 10.球状粒子を使用し、および基板を揺動させることを特徴とする請求項9に 記載の方法。
