図５は従来の自動洗髪機のフェイスカバー部の構成の概要を示す斜面図である。
Ｂ2 は自動洗髪機、３は浴槽、４は浴槽３を覆うように開閉自在に設けられたフェイスカバーであり、該フェイスカバー４には、浴槽３に仰向けの状態で頭部を挿入した被洗髪者の顔を外部に出すための開口部４ａが設けられ、その開口部４ａ沿いにはゴム等の素材の柔軟性を有するフェイスシール２１が取り付けられている。
