Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of stably supporting guide rails, at the upper parts of which a hoist is installed, in a simple structure. SOLUTION: An elevator includes a pair of guide rails 3 standingly provided in an elevator shaft 1 for guiding an elevator to be elevated and a hoist 7 supported on the upper ends of the guide rails 3 for elevating and driving the elevator, wherein a load supporting special beam 12 is provided at a building side opposed to the guide rails 3 near under the hoist 7 to fix the guide rails 3 thereto.

A pair of guide rails which are erected in a hoistway to guide the elevating body up and down, and a hoisting machine installed at an upper end of the guide rail via a mounting base to drive the elevating body up and down.
