Description
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
dell'invenzione industriale avente per titolo: of the industrial invention entitled:
“Parabordo per imbarcazione†⠀ œFender for boatâ €
The present invention relates to a fender used to protect a boat from impacts or rubbing against the mooring quay or against other boats alongside.
Normally the fender is a mobile element that is used by tying it along the upper deck (covered) that runs the entire length of a boat, hanging it on the emerged walls of the sides of the ship's hull (side), and then removing it and stowing it during navigation. . A fender is made of elastomeric material, capable of absorbing a large amount of impact energy and at the same time deforming to develop a low elastic reaction force.
The fenders are cylindrical in shape and filled with air or in the shape of a parallelepiped when used on medium to large boats.
The products described above require large volumes of space during stowage. To reduce the stowage space in the boat, inflatable fenders are used which can be stored in confined spaces once deflated. The disadvantage in the use of inflatable fenders lies in the fact that auxiliary air injection systems are necessary to quickly restore and ensure the conditions of protection of the boat and absorption of elastic energy.
The significant state of the art is represented by the document US2010031862, in which an inflatable fender includes a flexible bag that can be inflated by means of a source of compressed air contained in a case mounted on the hull of the boat, separate means of recovery withdraw the flexible bag, once deflated, inside the case.
The solution of the patent US2010031862 solves the problem of stowage in a small space and the instantaneous restoration of the fender by means of a source of compressed air; the solution is also not feasible for small and medium-sized boats and for boats that do not require the use of auxiliary electricity sources on board.
An object of the present invention is to produce a fender for boats capable of varying its shape without the aid of compressed air.
Un ulteriore scopo à ̈ realizzare un parabordo facilmente industrializzabile e poco costoso. A further aim is to produce an easily industrializable and inexpensive fender.
The aforesaid and other objects and advantages of the invention, which will emerge from the following description, are achieved with a fender for boats, characterized by the fact that it comprises two or more hollow sections telescopically connected so as to form a telescopic body capable of assuming at least one stretched configuration or one retracted configuration.
Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variants of the present invention form the subject of the dependent claims.
La presente invenzione verrà meglio descritta da alcune forme preferite di realizzazione, fomite a titolo esemplificativo e non limitativo, con riferimento ai disegni allegati, nei quali: The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:

A boat fender 1 comprises a bell 10 and a battery of cylindrical tubular logs 20, 30 and 40, of progressively increasing diameter, connected so as to form a telescopic body capable of assuming an extended configuration or of withdrawing the larger tubular trunk .
The bell 10 (figures 4-7) is a homogeneous body formed by a tubular trunk 11 surmounted by a cap 12. The pipe trunk 11 has a flanged base 13 equipped with prismatic blocks 14 equidistant, projecting outwards in the direction radial and axial to form teeth 17. The cap 12 is crossed by a transverse hole 15 tapered at the edges with a chamfer 16 with a large radius of curvature. Said hole 15 is useful for attaching a rope whose other end is secured to the boat.
The cylindrical tubular trunks 20, 30 and 40 are homogeneous bodies of almost the same shape albeit of different size as will be clearer later on.
The tubular trunk 20 (figures 8-11) is delimited by a flange 21, equipped with equidistant prismatic blocks 22, projecting outwards in a radial and axial direction so as to form teeth 27, and by a uniform circular edge 23 , curved inwards, delimited by a cylindrical hole 24. Equidistant grooved guides 25 run along the internal side wall of the tubular trunk 20 forming internal channels delimited by a recessed edge 26.
Guide scanalate equidistanti 35 percorrono la parete laterale interna del tronco tubolare 30 formando canali interni delimitati da un bordo rientrante 36 The tubular trunk 30 (figures 12-14) is delimited by a flange 31, equipped with equidistant prismatic blocks 32, projecting outwards in a radial and axial direction so as to form teeth 37, and by a uniform circular edge 33, curved towards and delimited by a cylindrical hole 34. Equidistant grooved guides 35 run along the internal side wall of the tubular trunk 30 forming internal channels delimited by a recessed edge 36
The tubular trunk 40 (figures 15-17) is delimited by a uniform circular edge 43, curved towards the inside and delimited by a cylindrical hole 44. Equidistant grooved guides 45 run along the internal lateral surface of the tubular trunk 40 forming internal channels delimited by a recessed edge 46.
The bell 10 slides inside the tubular trunk 20 by means of the tubular trunk 11 through the cylindrical hole 24 and by means of the prismatic blocks 14 along the grooved guides 25. In the extended configuration (figure 23), the teeth 17 protrude from their respective prismatic blocks 14 fit into the space delimited by the recessed edge 26, allowing the bell 10 to be rigidly connected to the tubular trunk 20. In the retracted configuration (figure 26), the flanged base 13 is almost aligned on a plane with the flange 21, allowing the tubular trunk 20 to contain inside it the tubular trunk 11 of the bell 10.
The tubular trunk 20, in turn, slides inside the tubular trunk 30 through the cylindrical hole 34 and by means of the prismatic blocks 22 along the grooved guides 35. In the extended configuration (figure 23), the teeth 27 protrude from their respective prismatic blocks 22 fit into the space delimited by the recessed edge 36, allowing the tubular trunk 20 to be rigidly connected to the tubular trunk 30. In the retracted configuration (figure 26), the flange 21 is almost aligned on a plane with the flange 31, allowing the tubular trunk 30 to contain the tubular trunk 20 inside it.
The tubular trunk 30, in turn, slides inside the tubular trunk 40 through the cylindrical hole 44 and by means of the prismatic blocks 32 along the grooved guides 45. In the extended configuration (figure 23), the teeth 37 protruding from their respective prismatic blocks 32 fit into the compartment delimited by the recessed edge 46, allowing the tubular trunk 30 to be rigidly connected to the tubular trunk 40. In the retracted configuration (Figure 26), the flange 31 is almost aligned with a lower edge 41 of the tubular trunk 40, allowing the latter to contain the tubular trunk 30 inside.
The boat fender 1 changes its shape by behaving like a telescopic body. In the extended configuration (figures 1-3, 22, 23), corresponding to the series connection of the tubular sections 20, 30 and 40 and of the bell 10, the structural continuity necessary for the fender 1 to absorb the induced impact load is guaranteed from contact or rubbing against the quay or adjacent boats. In fact, the effectiveness of the deformation of the fender 1 is guaranteed by the involvement of all the components of the fender 1 by virtue of the interlocking established by means of the teeth 17, 27 and 37 in the compartment delimited respectively by the recessed edge 26, 36 and 46. In the configuration retracted (figures 24-28), corresponding to the reciprocal sliding of the bell 10 and the tubular sections 20, 30 and 40, the tubular section 40 contains all the remaining components of the assembly.
The number of telescopically connected tubular trunks can vary according to needs.
The boat fender 1 is tied along the deck of the boat through the transverse hole 15, once the extended configuration corresponding to a body made up of interlocking elements has been assumed.
The fender for boat 1 also solves the problem of stowage in limited spaces, once the joints between the components connected in series have been unlocked, the latter made to slide reciprocally until they are inserted inside the larger element, in this case the tubular trunk 40.
The transition between the two configurations is fast and does not require auxiliary energy systems.
The boat fender 1 is preferably made of elastomeric material.
The aforesaid advantages obtainable by means of a telescopic fender composed of cylindrical tubular trunks, are also achieved in the case in which the trunks making up the fender are not tubular and / or cylindrical.
In fact, it is possible to envisage a second embodiment of the invention with conical tubular trunks (figures 29-36), and a third embodiment of the invention with hollow trunks with elliptical cross-section (figures 37-44).
The telescopic connection between the trunks, of progressively increasing size from the inside towards the outside from a smaller trunk to a larger trunk, remains of the same type, with equivalent sliding grooves, base flanges with teeth of socket, as well as a bell similar in shape to the trunks used.
In conclusion, it is essential that the fender includes a plurality of telescopically connected hollow trunks, the shape of the trunks being able to vary.
