Abstract

Twin-body carburettor, of the type with dispensing and feeding of air alone in a first body and of a fuel-rich mixture in the second body, characterised in that a butterfly valve is provided in a conduit of the first body for the dispensing of air, and there are means co- operating with a fuel supply nozzle for the dispensing of the rich mixture into a conduit of the second body, said butterfly valve and said means being interconnected for a dispensing of air co-ordinated with the dispensing of fuel, yet able to be governed independently of it. In said carburettor, said first and second body and the corresponding conduits are preferably arranged orthogonal to each other. Said means co-operating with the fuel supply nozzle can be advantageously comprised of a pin, controlled to move in translation by the rotational movement of the butterfly valve via means of mechanical connection, or an assemblage of channels in which an air flow is influenced by the condition of opening of the butterfly valve. <IMAGE>
