Abstract

La presente invenzione descrive un elettrolizzatore per processi elettrochimici con formazione di prodotti gassosi, costituito da una molteplicità di celle elementari, ogni cella elementare essendo suddivisa da una membrana a scambio ionico o da un diaframma poroso in due compartimenti comprendenti ciascuno un elettrodo con una porzione piana periferica e una guarnizione perimetrale, uno di detti compartimenti operante a pressione minore di quella dell'altro compartimento. Il miglioramento consiste in un nastro di materiale resistente all'azione corrosiva degli elettroliti applicato su detta porzione piana periferica e su detta guarnizione perimetrale del compartimento operante a pressione minore, detta guarnizione perimetrale dell'altro compartimento avente una larghezza maggiorata ed essendo mantenuta compressa dall'elettrodo di detto altro compartimento.
