Abstract

Un elettrolita polimerico solido, in forma di membrana, costituito da una soluzione solida di un composto ionico in un polietere reticolato, viene ottenuto:1)miscelando:(a)un prepolimero con un peso molecolare compreso tra 10.000 e 100.000 avente la formula (1) FORMULA 1 Dove:R è il radicale etile o metile; x è un numero intero variabile da 2 a 5; n varia tra 0,7 e 0,95, m varia tra 0,3 e 0,05 e dove n - m è 1in quantità compresa tra il 20 e 80% in peso con (b) un composto ionico in quantità compresa tra 1 e 30% in peso;in presenza o meno di (c ) un plastificante scelto tra un oligomero o un solvente dipolare aprotico in quantità compresa tra 0 e 10% in peso; ed (d) un attivatore radicalico in quantità compresa tra 0 e 10% in peso; ed infine 2) applicando la miscela risultante su un supporto inerte ed esponendo detta miscela ad una sorgente di radiazioni ultraviolette, termiche o "electron beam" sino a completa reticolazione del sistema.Detto elettrolita polimerico solido è meccanicamente resistente e altamente conduttore anche a basse temperature. L'elettrolita polimerico solido può essere utilizzato quale separatore elettrolitico in dispositivi elettrochimici, in display ottici ed in sensori.
