Abstract

Granuli di metalli reattivi, in particolare di magnesio e/o di leghe di magnesio, vengono prodotti direttamente dal metallo fuso. Il metallo viene alimentato in pressione ad un ugello di granulazione che costringe il metallo ad acquistare un moto circolare a velocità crescente prima che esso raggiunga l'uscita dall'ugello e si disintegri poi in piccoli frammenti e goccioline. Tali frammenti e goccioline vengono formati in una atmosfera di gas inattivo in un sistema chiuso, ed in seguito si solidificano e si raffreddano in un bagno di raffreddamento non - ossidante. E' pure descritta un'apparecchiatura con una camera di granulazione costituita da due parti (1, 2) che possono essere accoppiate una all'altra in diverse posizioni con un sistema di blocco a tenuta d'aria (3).
