Abstract

Carro ferroviario coperto in particolare per autovetture in cui la copertura è formata da una parte interna e da una parte esterna scorrevoli nella sua direzione longitudinale, tramite apposite guide. Per ottenere un sistema di copertura relativamente leggero e stabile, particolarmente idoneo al trasporto di autovetture, la copertura interna e quella esterna sono collegate fra loro nell'ambito delle loro pareti laterali, per accoppiamento geometrico, in corrispondenza della loro giunzione trasversale, tramite appositi dispositivi di chiusura, e sono fissate sui lati frontali mediante elementi di trascinamento agenti nella direzione trasversale del carro. La copertura esterna può quindi essere trasferita, a seguito di uno spostamento verticale, da una posizione di chiusura in cui le coperture formano un tetto piano comune, in una di scorrimento, in cui la copertura esterna lascia libere le tenute a labirinto nella zona del tetto stesso.(Figura 1).
