Abstract

The invention exhibits a heating wall having a plurality of flat tubes which are arranged above one another and are connected to one another on their flat sides by pressure welding. Oval openings, which communicate on the flat sides, are used for the forced circulation. It is of the essence that a defined gap is provided in each case between the narrow sides of the flat tubes, and that annular elements positioned for the purpose of pressure welding between the flat tubes simultaneously serve as spacers between the tubes situated above one another. In this arrangement, the tube ends are individually sealed on the end face, in each case. <??>The invention also exhibits a method for producing the heating wall which is essentially based on the fact that the flat tubes which are connected on the narrow sides by pressure-welding are sealed on the end faces before the openings are introduced. The tubes, which have already been sealed and cleaned on the welding seam, are then provided with openings and pressure-welded over annular elements which simultaneously serve as spacing elements. <??>The great advantage of the novel heating wall and of the novel method of production is the provision of a heating wall which permits the tubes to be painted all around in an anticorrosive fashion and has a relatively large heating surface. <IMAGE>
