Abstract

In the making of a radiator consisting of tubes extending (e.g. vertically) between headers, modules are formed each comprising tubes (such as 1 to 4) some of which (e.g. the tubes 1 and 4) may be curved at their ends, the tube ends extending through corresponding holes in the wall of cylindrical header members 5 and each tube being joined to a header member by a weld at the inside surface of said member. A plurality of the modules may be thereafter positioned side-by-side and the corresponding members 5 of adjacent modules joined together by welding, again at the inside surface of the members 5. All the radiator parts are made from drawn tubing.
