Abstract

A twisting frame including doubling devices has a row of yarn supply packages along which a carriage moves. The carriage carries a pneumatic device having an entry slot lying parallel with the axis of a supply package so that yarn passing from the supply package and held between two guides passes into the entry slot as the pneumatic device moves along the row of packages. The yarn passing into the entry slot is guided into a yarn guide duct with which the entry slot connects so that the yarn can be fed from the guide duct to the twisting spindle. Threading up of the yarn to the twisting spindle is effected automatically thereby eliminating manual operations.
