Claims (12)

40061/2 S WHAT WE CLAIM IS: .
1. An electrophotographic sheet comprising a support sheet coated with a "layer of a dispersion of dye-sensitized zinc oxide in a resinous binder comprising a major proportion of. polyvinyl butyral having a hydro;cy content below 15% and a polyvinyl butyral content of at least 85%.
2. An electrophotographic sheet according to Claim 1 in which the polyvinyl butyral has an acid value below 1.
3. An electrophotographic sheet according to Claim 1 or 2 in which the polyvinyl butyral has a polyvinyl alcohol content of 9 to 13% and a polyvinyl acetate content below
4. An electrophotographic sheet according to any of Claims 1-3 in which the resinous binder is 100% polyvinyl butyral.
5. Process of copying which comprises electrically charging a layer of dye-se sitized zinc oxide dispersed in a resinous binder comprising a major proportion of polyvinyl butyral having a hydroxy content below 15% and a polyvinyl butyral content of at least 85%, exposing said charged layer to light in a pattern corresponding to. the image to be copied thereby producing a charged image on said layer, developing said image, and transferring the on which it is Tixed same to a recipient surface therefor/and repeating said charging, image-wise discharging, developing and transfer at least 800 times using the same zinc oxide layer.
6. Process according to claim 5 in which the polyvinyl butyral has an acid value below 1.
7. Process according to Claim 5 or 6 in which the polyvinyl butyral has a polyvinyl alcohol content of 9 to 13% and a polyvinyl acetate content below 2½%.
8. Process according to any of Claims 5 to 7 in which the resinous binder is 100% polyvinyl butyral.
9. Process according to any of Claims 5 to 8 in which 600 to 1000 copies are produced at a rate of at least two copies per minute.
10. An electrophotographic sheet according to Claim 1 substantially as described in the Example.
11. Process according to Claim 5 substantially a3 hereinbefore described.
12. Copies produced by the process of any of Claims 5 ,to 9 or 11. - -
