Abstract
1310437 Electrophotographic material RANK XEROX Ltd 6 April 1970 [5 April 1969] 16143/70 Heading H1K [Also in Division C1] An electrophotographic photosensitive layer comprises zinc oxide prepared by moistening zinc oxide powder with water, optionally together methanol and/or ethanol and heating the powder, optionally after a drying step, to 400 to 700 C. The layer also has an insulating film forming binder, e.g. a styrene-alkyd resin, and may have a sensitizing dye, e.g. blue triphenylmethane, incorporated. A layer of the treated material is coated on to a support having an electroconductive layer thereon, e.g. paper coated with aluminium.
