Abstract

1394564 Collapsible push chairs; handles LAWRENCE WILSON & SON Ltd 18 Dec 1973 00326/74 Headings B7B and B7T A collapsible structure, particularly a push chair or invalid carriage, comprises a base frame of pivotally interconnected members 2, 4, side frames B, C of pivotally interconnected members 8, 10 and 14, 16 connected to the base frame, and a foldable handle D, E connected to the base and side frames, the arrangement being such that on forward pivoting of the handle causes collapse of the frames both vertically and transversely. The side frame members are connected to the base frames by means of U- brackets 20, 28, 24, 34 fixed by vertical pivots to the base frame and are connected to the handle frame E by a cross-bar 56. The handle frame E is pivoted to a handle supported frame D pivotally mounted at the pivot 6 of the base frame members 2, 4. A latch member 46, having a safety catch 108, engages the bar 56 to hold the handle frame D in the operative position. [GB1394564A]
