Abstract

Polycyclic compounds which contain at least one tetrazole ring and have the formula 1 in which the radicals Z<1>, Z<2> and Z<3> have the meaning stated in Claim 1 are obtained by reacting compounds of the formula 2 in which the radicals Y<1> and Y<2> have the meaning stated in Claim 1 with hydrazoic acid or a salt thereof, or by reacting compounds of the formula 2 in which the radicals Y<1> and Y<2> have the meaning stated in Claim 10 with nitrous acid, or by reacting compounds of the formula 2 in which the radicals Y<1> and Y<2> have the meaning stated in Claim 19 with nitrous acid and reducing the nitrosation product which is formed. The compounds are converted where appropriate into their salts or, if at least one of the substituents Z<1> and Z<2> is a carboxyl group, into their esters or amides by esterification or amidation. The compounds act as inhibitors in certain allergic reactions in mammals. <IMAGE> [GB1452891A]
