1365894 Insulated cables PIRELLI GENERAL CABLE WORKS Ltd 21 June 1972 [12 July 1971 14 Sept 1971] 32527/71 and 42848/71 Heading H1A [Also in Divisions H2 and B5] An electric cable comprises an insulating layer formed of an electrically insulating sheet material comprising a sheet of controlled extension paper having a layer of electrically insulating synthetic polymeric plastics material bonded thereto over one face thereof, wound in tape-form to provide a plurality of overlapping layers. The electrically insulating sheet material is preferably wound with the plastics layer facing inwards, at least for the few innermost layers thereof. The plastics material is preferably a polyolefine, e.g. polypropylene. [GB1365894A]
