Abstract
1,203,484. Cables. SUDDEUTSCHE KABELWERKE ZWEIGNIEDERLASSUNG DER VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A.G. 29 May, 1968 [10 June, 1967; 7 Nov., 1967], No. 25809/68. Heading H1A. Insulation for an electrical conductor comprises a high air content fleece of polyolefin or polyester fibres e.g. polypropylene which may be creped. The fleece is cut into bands which are formed around the conductor and the whole then enclosed with a band of polyester or polyolefin foil having an outer coating of a lacquer film. The conductor may also have a lacquer coating. A number of parallel conductors may be sheathed simultaneously between two fleeces and stranded conductors may be braided with a thread of natural or synthetic textiles.
