Abstract

1277396 Container closures AMERICAN FLANGE & MFG CO Inc 1 Oct 1970 [27 Oct 1969] 46707/70 Heading B8T A metallic bottle cap comprises a top wall 2, a curved portion 3 and a skirt 4 to which is attached a pull member 8. Score lines 6 and 7 facilitate tearing. A gasket 11 comprises a solid plastics sheet 12 adhered to the underside of the cap, and a spongy annulus 17 formed in situ, which are fused together. In another embodiment, the annulus 17 is covered by the solid sheet (23), Fig. 4 (not shown). [GB1277396A]
