Abstract
1,246,816. Sectional boilers. STREBELWERK G.m.b.H. 19 Dec., 1968 [15 Nov., 1968], No. 60460/68. Heading F4A. In a sectional fluid fuel fired central heating boiler having an axial combustion chamber 2, the return heating gas passages 14 . . . 20, communicating with the combustion chamber, and the forward heating gas passages 22 and 24, communicating with the flue gas collector 10, are bounded in the central boiler sections by inner and outer circumferentially extending water chambers 30 and 28 and connecting radial water channels 32. The two return passages 14 and 16 adjacent the water outlet connection bosses 34 and the two return passages 18 and 20 adjacent the water inlet connection bosses 26 are connected to the two forward passages 22 and 24 therebetween in the front section 6 of the boiler through the flow reversing chambers 13. Cleaning apertures 50, 52 and 56 are provided for the heating gas passages. Finned plates 42 may be mounted in the heating gas passages.
