Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine selbstregelnde elektrische Heizeinrichtung mit PTC-Heizelementen, welche auf der wärmeaufnehmenden Seite eines Heizkörpers in gutem thermischen und elektrischen Kontakt zum Heizkörper angeordnet sind, einem in elektrischem Kontakt zu den PTC-Heizelementen stehenden Kontaktelement, welches auf der wärmeaufnehmenden Seite des Heizkörpers abgewandten Oberseite der PTC-Heizelemente angeordnet ist, und mit einem Halte- und Justierelement zur sicheren elektrischen Kontaktierung der PTC-Heizelemente. Erfindungsgemäß wird das Kontaktelement durch einen vom Halte- und Justierelement ausgeübten Druck in flächenhafter Berührung mit der Oberseite der PTC-Heizelemente gehalten, und es ist mit solcher Masse und Wärmekapazität ausgebildet, dass es während der Aufheizzeit bis zum Erreichen der Arbeitstemperatur eine zur definierten Bestimmung der Aufheizzeit dienende Wärmemenge von der Oberseite der PTC_Heizelemente abführt. Dadurch ist die Aufheizzeit bis zum Erreichen der Arbeitstemperatur zur Anpassung der Aufheizcharakteristik an verschiedenste Anwendungsfälle vorherbestimmbar und/oder eine Verringerung der maximalen Stromaufnahme der Heizeinrichtung möglich.
