Abstract
Block of granular promoted Fe oxide catalyst for NH3 synthesis contains granular promoted Fe oxide catalyst (I), a metal aluminate (II) and reinforcing elements (III). The novelty is that the block contains an alkaline earth metal aluminate and (II) and has the compsn. 84.0-04.5 (wt.)%(I), 5.0-15.0% (II) and 0.5-1.0% (III). - The block is produced by mixing (I) with (III) in aq. medium, using a (II) : water wt. ratio of 1:1-9, moulding, with insertion of (III), thermal treatment at 200-600 deg.C, hydrothermal treatment at 150-300 deg.C, and then drying at 150-200 deg.C.
