Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što monomer formule [2] se bira iz skupine koju čine etilen-glikol-dimetakrilat; dietilen-glikol-dimetakrilat; trietilen-glikol-dimetakrilat; 1,6-heksandiol-dimetakrilat; 1,4-butandiol-dimetakrilat; 1,4-benzendimetanol-dimetakrilat; etilen-glikol-diakrilat; dietilen-glikol-diakrilat; trietilen-glikol-diakrilat; 1,6-heksandiol-diakrilat; 1,4-butandiol-diakrilat; i 1,4-benzendimetanol-diakrilat.
8. Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što količina monomera [1] je 80 do 95 % (težinski).
9. Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što količina monomera [2] je 0,5 do 3 % (težinski).
10. Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što količina monomera [3] je 1 do 15 % (težinski).
11. Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 10, naznačen time što količina monomera [3] je 1 do 10 % (težinski).
12. Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što dodatno sadrži sastojak kojeg se bira iz skupine koju čine polimerizabilni UV apsorberi i polimerizabilne boje.
13. Polimerni materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 12, naznačen time što sadrži 0,1-5 % (težinski) polimerizabilnog UV apsorbera i 0,01-0,5 % (težinski) polimerizabilne boje.

Postupak priprave polimernog materijala za oftalmički ili otorinolaringološki uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što se međusobno miješa sastojke [1], [2] i [3], kao i sve daljnje izborne sastojke, te polimerizira uz upotrebu radikalnog inicijatora kako bi se započelo s polimerizacijom uz djelovanje bilo topline ili zračenja.

Oftalmički ili otorinolaringološki uređaj, naznačen time što sadrži materijal za uređaj u skladu s patentnim zahtjevom 1, naznačen time što navedeni oftalmički ili otorinolaringološki uređaj se bira iz skupine koju čine intraokularne leće; kontaktne leće; keratoproteze; kornealni umetci ili prsteni; cijevi za otološku ventilaciju; te nazalni usatci.
