Abstract
1. A tripping device for a switch apparatus having a local control member (2) and the opening of which is automatic when faults appear, comprising : - on the one hand, a first quick trip mechanism which holds in a first stable closure position (F) a transmission member (3) associated with the control member (2) and subjected to a resilient return force which urges it successively to a second stable tripped position (D) and to a third stable opening position (O) and which closes a control switch (50) of the apparatus solely for the closure position of this transmission member (3), - on the other hand, a second quick trip mechanism which is adapted, on the one hand, to trip the first mechanism for releasing the transmission member (3) and adapted, on the other hand, for cooperating with this latter in order to give it these stable tripped (D) and opening (O) positions, - this transmission member (3) being capable of communicating, for a fourth unstable resetting (R) position, resetting movements which are applied to the second mechanism and which are transmitted to resettable detector devices reacting sharply on the appearance of current overloads of different levels in a power circuit of the apparatus, which is closed and opened by an electromagnet (51) whose coil is in series with the control switch device in which the second quick trip mechanism comprises : - a trip lever (20) causing the first quick trip mechanism to be released which is held resiliently set by cooperation with a pawl (29) subjected to the action of sliders (43, 47) associated respectively with the detector devices (55, 56, 57) and which cooperates with a first surface (6) of the transmission member (3) to stop this latter in the tripper position (D) when cooperation of the pawl with the trip lever is interrupted by the action of at least one slide (43, 47), - a resetting lever (35) which is brought by the trip lever and in a given direction (M) adjacent a second surface (9) of the transmission member, when this latter reaches this tripped position (D) and which cooperates resiliently (27, 4) with this second surface for stopping this transmission member in the opening position (O), this second surface (9) of this transmission member being capable of communicating to this resetting lever and in the unstable resetting position (R) a movement in the reverse direction (N) which is transmitted on the one hand (25, 49) to the trip lever for re-establishing cooperation thereof with the pawl and, on the other hand (45, 46 respectively 41, 42) to the slides (47, 43) towards the resettable detector devices (55, 56, 57).
