UN PROCESO PARA LA EXTRACCIÓN DE NÍQUEL Y COBALTO DESDE UNA MENA DE ÓXIDO NIQUELÍFERO POR LIXIVIACIÓN EN PILAS, EL PROCESO INCLUYENDO LOS PASOS DE: (A) CONFORMAR LA MENA DE ÓXIDO NIQUELÍFERO EN UNA O MÁS PILAS; (B) LIXIVIAR LA PILA DE MENA CON UNA SOLUCIÓN DE LIXIVIACIÓN EN UN PASO DE LIXIVIACIÓN, EN DONDE LA SOLUCIÓN DE LIXIVIACIÓN INCLUYE UN AGUA SALINA O HIPERSALINA SUPLEMENTADA CON ÁCIDO COMO AGENTE DE LIXIVIACIÓN, EL AGUA HIPERSALINA TENIENDO UNA CONCENTRACIÓN DE SÓLIDOS DISUELTOS TOTALES SUPERIOR A 30 G/L; Y (C) EXTRAER EL NÍQUEL Y EL COBALTO DESDE EL LIXIVIADO DE PILA RESULTANTE.
