Abstract

Μεθοδολογία και κατάλληλα συστήματα που την υλοποιούν, τα οποία αφορούν στη συλλογή, μέσω ενός Συστήματος Δορυφορικής Πλοήγησης (ΣΔΠ), συγκέντρωση και διανομή πληροφοριών σχετικά με την οδική κυκλοφοριακή ροή (ταχύτητα διέλευσης ενός οδικού τμήματοςαπό ένα όχημα), επαυξάνοντας έτσι τα υφιστάμενα δεδομένα των χαρτών πλοήγησης και παρέχοντας με τον τρόπο αυτό βελτιωμένες δυνατότητες δρομολόγησης και πλοήγησης στα υπάρχοντα ΣΔΠ. Κατάλληλο λογισμικό που αλληλεπιδρά με το υλικό (hardware), της συσκευής πλοήγησης (ΣΔΠ), θα καταγράφει χαρακτηριστικά και παραμέτρους της διανυόμενης διαδρομής (π. χ. τον χρόνο για να διανυθεί κάθε επιμέρους οδικό τμήμα, την τρέχουσα ώρα και ημερομηνία, τις καιρικές συνθήκες, τον τύπο του οχήματος, κλπ.). Μετά την επεξεργασία των δεδομένων των χρηστών από ένα σύστημα κεντρικού εξυπηρετητή, αυτά θα ενσωματώνονται σε έναν «παγκόσμιο χάρτη» (που θα αποτελείται από μια ειδικού σκοπού και σχεδιασμού τμηματοποιημένη βάση δεδομένων).
