999,430. Multi-storey buildings. E. J. VON HEIDENSTAM. May 10, 1962 [Nov. 17, 1961], No. 17987/62. Heading E1A. In a method of erecting a multi-storey building in which the floorings are first cast stacked on each other on a base 1 and subsequently lifted relative to columns 2, each flooring comprises an apertured support element 3a having a prestressed reinforcement 8 wound therearound and a floor portion 4a which is fixed to the element 3a for lifting therewith. The support elements may constitute discs as shown or be replaced by conical rings which act as washer springs on the columns or be of funnel-shape, see Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown), respectively. The disc may have a collar embedded therein and be stepped, see Fig. 7 (not shown). For design desiderata and manner of reinforcing the flooring the Specification should be referred to. Reference has directed by the Comptroller to Specification 836443.
