A mixer for synthetic resin and hardener has a mixing chamber 2, two or more impellers 31, 32, 33 rotated by the shaft 30 in a direction to oppose the flow of materials (which are supplied under pressure), a rotatable or fixed apertured disc 35, an inlet 42 opening into an annular chamber 40 surrounding the shaft, and at least one other inlet 28. The mixing chamber housing 1 may be detached by unscrewing the nut 22, and the blades 31, 32, 33 by unscrewing the nut 19. There may be more than one disc 35; there are cooling fins 10. The conical end wall member 25 and the boss 38 are made of P.T.F.E. The mixer may be used for batch operation by attaching a suitable valve to the outlet 4.
