997,916. Dishwashing machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Aug. 3, 1962 [Aug. 7, 1961], No. 29860/62. Heading A4F. In an automatic dishwashing machine having a tub open at the top, a dish rack is divided into front and rear sections 45, 46, the front section 45 being connected through a linkage system to a cover 13 so that it is raised when the cover is opened to overlie the rear section 46. The linkage system comprises two L-shaped arms 55 pivoted to the front and rear sections at 56 and 51 respectively, and a bracket 52 extending at right-angles to the cover 13 and pivoted at the front section at 53.
