A hollow hood for a dish washing machine is of segment shaped vertical cross-section 1 with an arcuate top 2 and front and rear openings each of which are closable by sliding arcuate doors 5 and 6 mounted between pairs of grooves 3 and 4 such that they overlap each other when in fully raised positions. Pivoted arms (not shown) may be used to open and close the doors.
