Abstract

997,697. Labelling-machines. NEWMAN LABELLING MACHINES Ltd. Dec. 23, 1963 [Dec. 21, 1962], No. 48366/62. Heading B8F. The invention relates to a labelling machine substantially as described in Specification 953,569, but specifically for labelling cylindrical articles, e.g. bottles, wherein the label applying belt 110 or reciprocating means of that Specification is replaced by a belt 102 which rolls the bottle on to the label carried on the hot suction box 40. Guide rails 103, 82 are provided at the sides of the conveyer 75, and after a label has been applied to the bottle, the bottle is rolled between the belt 102 and a rubber plate 105. The labelling machine can also be adjusted for articles of different diameter.
