Abstract

997,547. Lined cartons. ESSELTE FORPACKNING A.B. Dec. 23, 1963 [Dec. 27, 1962], No. 50710/63. Heading B8P. A cardboard carton having a lining 12 that is not slit at the comers but which is secured to end flaps 7, 8, 10 and is not secured to flap 9, has each of two opposite end flaps 8, 10 formed of two right-angled triangles 14, 15 as shown. The triangles are separated by a crease line 13. The flap 7 is equal in width to half the width of walls 5 or, in a further embodiment, the width of flap 7 is greater than half the width of walls 5 and is provided with a crease line corresponding to the mid-point of the width of walls 5. In this second embodiment the flap 7 is doubled at the crease line. The carton is sealed by securing flap 9 to the previously folded-in flaps 7, 8, 10. The lining could be provided only at the ends of the carton.
