An inking roller is rotatably mounted in a frame which is pivoted to a pivoted member or members with spring means acting to move both the frame and the pivoted member or members for maintaining the said roller resiliently in contact with two other rollers or cylinders. A printing machine comprises a plate cylinder 1, two inking rollers 2 and 2<SP>1</SP> and an ink distributing roller 3, the rollers 2 and 2<SP>1</SP> being independently mounted in frames 4 and 4<SP>1</SP> each frame including a spindle such as 5 rigidly connected to the arms of bearings 6 and 7 which support the roller 2. The spindle 5 of the frame 4 is mounted in members 11 and 12 which are rotatable on bolts 13 and 14 on the side walls 8 and 9. Eccentrics 15 and 16 mounted on shafts 17 and 18 are adapted to act on the free arms of the members 11 and 12 so that on actuation of worm and gear adjusting devices 19 and 20 the pressure of the roller 2 against the cylinder 1 is adjusted. The pressure of the roller 2<SP>1</SP> is similarly adjustable. Spring means act to press the rollers 2, 2<SP>1</SP> between the cylinder 1 and the roller 3, and further spring means maintain the eccentrics in engagement with the members 11, 12. A double cam 21 is provided to trip either or both of the rollers 2 and 2<SP>1</SP> and acts on the frames 4 and 4<SP>1</SP> through the bearings 6 and 61. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 an ink distributing roller 35 is mounted in a frame 31 and adapted to be tripped out of contact with two inking rollers 42, 43 on movement of a handle 37. The frame includes a spindle 32 and two bearing arms 33, 34 which are mounted on members 40 and 41 pivoted on a shaft 44. Springs 39, 40 act on the supports of the roller 35 to press it between the said rollers 42, 43.
