Abstract

994,959. Wheel stops. NIEDERSACHSISCHE WAGGONFABRIK JOSEPH GRAAFF G.m.b.H. Jan. 24, 1964 [Jan. 29, 1963], No. 3103/64. Heading F2E. A wheel top capable of being removably secured to a load-carrying ramp of a vehicle transporter comprises a stop plate 8 mounted for sliding along a supporting bar 7 rigidly connected between the two side walls 3, 4 of the wheel stop. The side walls carry a pin or pins 5, 6 for engaging bores provided in the guide rails 1, 2 of the ramp. Drop latches 9, 10 are formed with longitudinal slots and slide on fixed bolts 11, 12 from a lower position (shown) in which they prevent removal of the stop from the ramp to an upper position in which they allow the stop to be removed. In one modification, only a single drop latch is used and in another both pairs of pins 5, 6 point in the same direction and the side wall 4 bulges outwardly to engage over the guide rail 2, a single drop latch passing through an opening in the wall 4 being used.
