964,933. Transporting special loads. H. ATHERTON. April 24, 1963 [April 24, 1962], No. 16142/63. Divided out of 964,932. Heading B7B. A car transporter has channel sections M at each side of the platform T and the car is prevented from moving sideways and longitudinally by chocks having clamps 11 to engage the channels M. The clamps 11 are releasably held by screws 19 and pivotally support a bar 8 and a pair of toggle links 7 so that on actuation of the toggle the bar 8 is pressed into engagement with the car tyre 24, the links being retained in this position by engaging the pin 25 in the holes 26 in the links 9, 10. At the other end of the vehicle an adjustable V-shaped bar is secured to the channels M to hold the vehicle in position.
