A vehicle platform comprises a number of pallets 4 having tubular slides 6 along their undersides to engage the flanges of top-hat section rails 3 secured to the chassis longitudinals 2. The pallets may have integral upstanding panels 7 to form side walls or these panels may be detachably secured to uprights 8 secured to the ends of the rails 3. Stops 15 on the rails co-operate with hinged plates on the rail ends to secure the pallets in position.
