Abstract
992,354. Multiple retractable ball-point pens. ROLL-TIP (ENGLAND) Ltd. March 10, 1964 [March 11, 1963], No. 9603/63. Heading B6P. The barrel 11, 12 contains two ink reservoirs 22, 23 carrying ball points 24, 25 and having mounted thereon at the rear plungers 27, 28 urged rearwardly by springs 45, 46 against a fixed stop 42. When a plunger (e.g. 28) is depressed to project the ballpoint 25, its rear end 35 engages in front of a fixed stop 44 to be held in forward position. When the plunger 27 is subsequently depressed, it first reaches an intermediate position in which an abutment surface 37 thereon engages the end 35 of the plunger 28 and forces it clear of the stop 44 so that the plunger 28 is retracted by the spring 46, and thereafter reaches its forward position wherein its rear end 34 engages the stop 44.
