992,088. Spool-creel for textile machines. SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTRI. June 6, 1963 [June 6, 1962], No. 22482/63. Heading D1J. The creel 4 is swingingly carried by an arm 1 that can be swung forwardly and downwardly about a bearing 5 to facilitate spool changing operations, the arm 1 being raised and lowered by a piston and cylinder unit 19, 18, and being normally held in its upper setting by the pawl 10 locking with an arm 7 rigid with the arm 1. By turning a control arm 16, and thus a shaft 15, a cam 11 operates a rod 12 to release the pawl 10, the rotation of the shaft 15 also operating a distributer gear 17 connected by pressure hoses 21 to the cylinder 18 to lower the arm 1. On bringing the control arm back to its original setting the pawl 10 is returned to its locking setting and the distributer 17 in actuated to cause the piston 19 to retract into the cylinder 18 and thus raise the arm 1. The creel 4 is held vertically by the balancearm 2 throughout the movement of the arm 1.
