Abstract

1323022 Knitting machines F SANGIACOMO 19 April 1971 [4 May 1970] 26519/71 Heading D1C A pivoted filament guiding ring 4 is operative on a first electric switch 6 controlling the drive to a rotatable drum 15 and is connected to a shaft 2 connected to a piston sliding in a cylinder 1 and having a second shaft 7 biassed by a spring 8, the drum having cam means thereon which operates a second electric switch 14 and a lever 12 which is coupled to a rod controlling the piston and cylinder. Rod 11 controls a valve 10 which controls fluid in pipe 9 which feeds fluid to cylinder 1. When, after the machine has been stopped by a broken needle or broken thread, the fault has been remedied and the machine reset the cams on drum 15 cause ring 4 to be reset.
