Abstract
1300837 Knitting machines ELITEX ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 20 Aug 1970 [3 Sept 1969] 40102/70 Heading D1C A rotary cylinder knitting machine with one or two cylinders has a pattern device comprising selecting cams 36 which, through axially stationary selectors 9 control auxiliary jacks 6 which co-operate with a stationary guiding ring 34 and with intermediate jacks 4, the auxiliary jacks 6 having means for auxiliary; selection. The auxiliary tilting jacks beneath jacks 4 have butts 7 frangible apart from butt 7a and selected by radially movable cams 32, 33; 32a, 33a. Selectors 9 have recesses 12 near their upper ends for a circular spring 13, recesses 14 at their lower ends to receive a projection 38 on a ring 37 and a series of frangible butts 10 selected by radially movable cams 36, 36a. In operation, a first selection takes place when e.g. cam 361 engages a butt 10 to press a selector 9 in and pivot the corresponding jack 6 so that its butts 7 project and lowest butt 7a engages cam ring 25 which raises the jack 6 and hence jack 4 and needle 2. When the needle is lowered by the stitch cam during knitting it pushes jack 4 downwards and jack 6 is pivoted to its initial position by a chamfer on cam ring 25 and the selector 9 is pushed out against spring 13. The selection by cams 36 may be cancelled by radially displaceable cams 32 or 32a or later by cams 33, 33a which engage the butts 7 on jacks 6.
