Abstract

1336243 Knitting machines PRECISION FUKUHARA WORKS Ltd 19 Jan 1971 [21 Jan 1970] 2652/71 Heading D1C A circular knitting machine has jacks 34a, 35a, 36a formed integrally with needles 34, 35, 36 and having one set of butts at differing heights acted on by a vertical series of jack cams, the needles each having a butt 38 at the same level which, when a needle has been raised by its integral jack will engage a needle raise cam 32 and cause the needle to be raised so as to knit. In an arrangement similar to that described in Specification 1336242, one set of reversible blocks 31 is provided in housing 22, each having one key way 31a engaging key 26 and being slidable into and out of position. A cover plate 28 is secured to the housing and has an extension with a screw 30 which retains the cam arrangement in place. Needle raise cam 32 is secured above the blocks 31.
