Abstract

1,155,830. Knitting - machines. STRICKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT, VEB. 22 Sept., 1967, No. 43168/67. Heading D1C. A clearing cam for acting on the needles or jacks of a knitting machine dial or cylinder comprises two parts 5, 6 pivoted on a common axis, the one 5 being movable in a recess in the other 6 raises the butts to tuck level, the other has a working surface for raising butts to clearing level. The tuck part has a projecting upper end which overlaps the working surface of the clearing part, so that it must be raised to the operative position shown before, or with, the other part. The tuck part has also to be lowered to an inoperative position in a recess in part 2 after, or with said other part.
