Abstract
1281855 Knitting-machines H STOLL G STOLL E STOLL E STOLL J STOLL A STOLL R E STOLL and M STOLL 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970] 20613/71 Heading D1C A flat machine includes a device for repositioning faultily positioned needle or jack butts, which lands them on the required cam, or deflects them below it depending on their disposition. In the described embodiment two jacks 4 and 5 are associated with each needle. Two discs 12, 13 are therefor arranged between the operative and inoperative levels A, G respectively. Each is held in the position shown by a spring 16, 17 attached to pegs 18, 19. Raise cams 14, 15 are provided on the discs opposite the pegs. A butt in an intermediate position F with its lower end above the start of the cam 14, 15 is raised thereby so that it lands on cam 8 or 9. In a position F' below the cam 14 or 15, the butt strikes the cam, rotates the disc and is depressed thereby, so that it will pass below the appropriate cam 8 or 9. As the disc rotates the pin actuates a microswitch 23, 24 of a stop motion.
