Abstract

1345997 Knitting-machines G BUSI 24 May 1972 24386/72- Heading D1C The dial cam disc 2 of a cylinder and dial machine has a main cam track 4 and diversion tracks 9, 10 defined by pegs 7, 8. Bolt cams 11, 12 and 13 acting on the needle butts are provided at the inlets of the diversion tracks. The needle butts are of four different heights. Cams 11 and 13 can be lowered to divert all the needle buts to tracks 9, 10 respectively. Cam 12 can be lowered to act on butts having the three greatest heights, permitting those of the remaining height to enter track 9. Each cam is fixed to a support 15 slidable on rod 16 against the action of a pressure spring in a bush 18.
