Abstract

992,086. Gas burners. JUNKERS & CO. G.m.b.H. April 18, 1963 [April 28, 1962], No. 15334/63. Heading F4T. An elongated gas burner made of sheet metal and having a row of gas outlet apertures 12 along its top has inwardly directed recesses 13, 131 of triangular cross-section in its side walls 14, 14<SP>1</SP> and a gas inlet at its mid-point. The recesses extend along the burner and their depth varies from zero at either end to a maximum at the centre, and the bottoms of the recesses may be either flat or stepped. In a modification opposite recesses meet at the longitudinal centre of the burner at several points. In a further modification, Fig. 6, auxiliary gas outlets 24, 24<SP>1</SP> are formed between the top edge of horizontal bars 21, 21<SP>1</SP> and the top edges of the recesses. The gas outlets 24, 24<SP>1</SP> are spaced between the burner apertures 12 and are fed with gas through throttle bores 23, 23<SP>1</SP>.
